Into the Wild: 2064.5 Miles

While looking for the school bus in the woods to call my home without a map, my route through the interior next week will take me through a large cross section of Alaska.  Although, there are still thousands of miles I wont’ get too!

Last Days of Juneau

This Friday marks my last day at MRV Architects.  The past 6 months have gone by quickly.  Although I’ve enjoyed my time in Juneau, I will be glad to be back in Seattle!  Before I come back I’ll be doing a little road trip in the interior of Alaska followed by several days on the ferry to get me back to the lower 48.

Really I’m Working

Someone suggested that I post some evidence that I’m actually working up here in Juneau!  I’ve been so mesmerized by how beautiful it is here, I don’t think to show the other part of my Juneau life.  Practicing architecture is slightly different up here in AK.  Severe weather design is a driving factor for all exterior detailing.  Also, being from “down south”, its hard to input new ideas into the tested way of doing things up here!
